Once the Vug is cracked open they then are called Cathedrals and together make beautiful display pieces for any home. Many larger vug formations can occur within the mines up to 30 feet long in measurements. This is why since ancient times to even the modern world, these beautiful crystals are considered one of the largest in the mineral families.
